What of the very real corporate and political interests behind WHO, the CDC, and the Gates Foundation, such as the Chinese Communist Party and pharmaceutical mega-corporations? You appear to live in some fantasy world where these entities are incapable of manipulation, corruption and couldn't possibly be compromised by egregious conflicts of interest.

Regardless of whether other entities are capable of manipulation, corruption, and conflicts of interest it is demonstrably the case that these protests are an astroturf campaign.  

Again, whether they're astroturf in part or in entirety, attempts to extend the lockdowns beyond the intended purpose of flattening the curve should be resisted IMO. Doesn't matter if good ole boys were among the first to get ball rolling. 
You keep attempting to frame neo-confederates as the Ultimate Threat/Bad Guys in this scenario---but they're not the ones who are jockeying to keep Americans under open-ended house arrest and consider driving the country into the despair of a total economic collapse a fair price to pay for unseating a President they don't like.

The model that our neo-confederate administration is using suggests that 300k or more people will die if we prematurely abandon our efforts now.  That's the information that they're hearing, and upon hearing it, think to themselves - "meh, worth it - for economy™".  What do you think?  Who would be expected to suffer the majority of the consequences for their decision?

The same sorts of motherfuckers who would suffer the majority of devastation (and death) resulting from an open-ended lockdown and severe economic depression, I imagine.

The changing models are based on incomplete data and cannot account for numerous variables and measures that can be taken in restoring citizens' liberties and re-opening the economy while protecting the most vulnerable and mitigating the impact of the virus.
