Over 40,000,000 in the states have become unemployed but u guys seem to ignore it. So i expect the same here, ignore it or make excuses
Well, at least you gave a citation for the "million people damaged or dead from lockdown" part, although counting unemployment as "damaged or dead" is a bit of a stretch. But for what it's worth, I'll just ask: do you really think the outcome would have been much better if you actually just decided to damn the consequences? Frankly, I highly doubt there was ever any chance of an outcome that didn't involve a massive economic downturn. America's had a fairly laissez-faire attitude about the whole ordeal (mostly on a federal level), and how did that end up for us? More cases and more deaths than any other country, a bit less than a third of the total of both worldwide. And it's not like America's been given a more virulent strain of the virus; it's the same one around the world, and though the curve's currently pretty flat in Australia, that can change if reopening is done poorly. There is no reason to believe it won't come back. Even before a second wave, several of America's states have reopened and many of them have actually seen another spike in cases.
