It’s a stupid question. While the raw number of guns in private hands in the US has increased, the rate of gun ownership, as a percentage of households, has remained essentially flat (at about 40%). Ditto the rate of gun homicides as a percentage of population. Even with yearly fluctuation, the overall statistics haven’t change in the last 50 years, so there’s to reason to expect them to do so in the future.
This means that more guns does not increase the risk of being murdered by someone with a gun. This is why the question is pointless - at 1 billion guns or 50 billion guns, there’s no overall difference.
