I saw the Mythbuster's episode as well and in the slow-mo the breaks in the stream were major. I'm betting that an actual pee stream would have less gaps and also be more conductive given the electrolytes in pee.
Is it possible the gaps in the MythBusters episode were due to the liquid's pump? Small pumps often have intermittent spurts of pressure, and if not regulated, result in a discontinuous stream of droplets. Continuous liquid pressure from the muscles around the bladder would not display such a phenomenon.
Gawd, I'm a nerd....
Disappointing theists since 1968!
