Which makes him responsible - the gun or the production? If it is the production, you would have to show negligence of how the set was run, which I think is a real possibility.
As for the gun, I've already argued that making each individual responsible, INSTEAD of the people who are paid and trained to keep gun safety on set, is just stupid. Just have everyone bring their own guns and ammo to work, and have them do their own loading - that would make things safer, right?
I don't for a minute believe Baldwin's claim that he didn't pull the trigger. It is possible he doesn't remember pulling it. The shock of what happened could easily have made the previous few seconds fuzzy. Or, he is just trying to cover his ass.
