Kim Jong-Il is dead.

Kim Jong-Il is dead.
Quote:North Korean leader Kim Jong Il is dead, North Korean state TV said Monday.

Kim, 69, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, state TV said.

A broadcaster reported that Kim died due to "overwork" after "dedicating his life to the people."

South Korean news agency Yonhap -- which based its reporting on its monitoring off North Korean state television -- said that Kim had died during a train trip.
That was sudden.

I wonder what douche bag will replace him and if he will be an even bigger ego-maniac holding the world hostage with nuclear weapons.

Good.

Except that apparently there is a son.

His son, who is awfully chubby for someone living in North Korea.

Do all dictators get issued the same ugly uniform when they come to occupy that title?

Seriously.

His death had been anticipated for about 3 years now, ever since he suffered a stroke and became greatly enfeebled. That it couldn't be far off was appearently because he bypassed the normal grooming process for his 27 year old son and catapulted him directly to the country's top military post

Kimjong il wasn't skinny until his stroke. This son is appearently a psychopath who ordered a failed assassination of his own brother in Beijing. I don't foresee him surviving long in this post.

It has often been said that communism wasn't strictly atheist because it often resort to cult of personalities aound Karl Marx, vladmir lenin and the current leader almost as smothering as the cult of Jesus. But in other communist countries, there were at least no direct insistence that the leader was divine rather than human.

In north Korea, kim il song, the founder of the current Kim dynasty, is actually said to have been born from no mortal woman's womb, but descended directly onto a sacred mountain at the border between china and Korea upon a ray of heavenly light.

North Korea's ruling Juche ideology is almost as full of shit as Christianity and Islam.

Yes, in North Korea, the Great Leader was their religion... that is why the people there are not inclined to rise up. Rising up against their "god" would be the ultimate heresy...
