Then why mention it? Have you been reading First Things? Her age is a moot point. In fact, atheists have nothing to do with her being portrayed as youthful in the film. That's Hollywood. Besides, she was anywhere between 40 and 70. No one is quite sure when she was born, so you can pretty much can that one.

Yep. You have been reading First Things.
Quote:Historical facts are changed to such an extent as to validate the conflict thesis.
There was a conflict. Even your video, which you do not seem to realize argues against your point, shows that there has been a conflict.
Quote:And yes we have the greatest atheists of the moment, classifying Christianity as being a Bronze age religion, promoting the myth of the 1000 years "dark Age" and all this to support their a priori idea.
Listen, if you are going to start throwing out issues about myths, I suggest you toss your myths out with the bathwater first, buddy.

Obviously we can't. We have no idea how the library was destroyed. It is a mystery. We do know that there was a library. We do know that Christians did not like the melting pot of religion that was Alexandria. We also know that other conflicts could have led to its destruction. Another thing we know, the building may have survived and then been hidden or destroyed by a natural disaster, which destroyed other landmarks of Alexandria.
Your agenda is showing. You might want to tuck that in and try debating history with the grownups.

Yes, but from where did you matriculate? History and Political Science aren't colleges; they are majors.
Precisely. My experience leads me to find it highly unlikely that he had any such major as "history" either. I mean, just history? History of what? Didn't you specialize in anything? Wouldn't it be stupid not to specialize in something? Do universities even offer just history? I don't know.

Perhaps it was just a lucky coincidence that all civilizations had healers, but only in Christianity, modern medicine has emerged, that all civilizations had astrology but only in Christianity modern astronomy emerged, that all civilizations had alchemy but only in Christianity modern chemistry emerged.
Check it out, off-topic self-gratification. Christianity is not a civilization. Funny, because all of the things you say stem from Christianity came from civilizations that also had atheists. Atheists are responsible for everything! Yeah, that does not work, either. If you are going to masturbate, do it in private.
