What in 2012?

RE: What in 2012?
Judging by the results of the Iowa Caucus I am now going to predict that Rick Santorum will be the Republican party nominee against Barack Obama in November.

If he becomes President and Tony Abbott here in Australia becomes Prime Minister, they might become good buddies (both are Conservative Roman Catholics).

The only thing that matters about Iowa is how many of the clowns drop out. This will allow the conservatives to coalesce around one particular asshole out of the many who are running.

Santorum? What's a Santorum?

And a related story: In The Final Lap, Rick Santorum Comes From Behind - brought to you by those who would know.

Yeah, yeah. I'm going to hell. I know.

Not suprised one bit.

Moderate right wing is the new centrist, so it makes sense that the extremists fall off.

I just dearly hope Obama wins, because if not, liberalism / secularism in the USA will be set back about 20 years. This doesn't seem as likely as some put it, seeming as most of the bible belt hold Obama personally responsible for every ill in this world.

I'd also like to see further uprisings in the Arab Spring, although I hope they don't turn into theocracies. I'd like Kurdish independence ( us Brits really screwed that one up ) and the Arab Spring to go further south.

I'd also like to see Britain lose the state religion and for French economists to stop being such whiny bastards.

Yeah how did Santorum come out of no where and almost win.... like, well thats how I know it's not real, or intelligent, or that Republican caucuses/primary mean anything in the world called reality.

Thats the thing, they like propped him up with no time for anyone to attack him. Iowa was a fluke for him I think. Not that the Republican Primary even means anything, except Paul.
Santorum also loves ID, and does not approve of evolution, so he's an idiot not fit to run any country, well maybe the US Smile

He is also a neo-con, so bad news for middle east countries, but not like the current admin is all about peace.

Won't happen this year. I can't see the SNP calling for the referendum so soon.
