What in 2012?

What in 2012?
After spending approximately 6 seconds thinking about how amazing 2011 politically, I am now itching to see further changes in 2012.

I think this year will see;

Islamic movements become even more potent in the middle east, especially in Syria and Egypt and the Muslim Brotherhood will take centre stage.

Israel and Palestine's relations will get better this year. (Based on hope and that it couldn't possibly get any worse, could it?)

Mitt Romney will win the Republican nomination and then lose to Barack Obama in the Presidential election, because his magic pants will not be as inviting to the evangelicals as they are his wife. Also the independents will not support someone in the 1% who wants no change in Wall Street.

The French Socialist party will win back power from Sarkozy's UMP and finally France will have a non Gaullist President, and Francois Hollande will be only the second Socialist President ever, after Francois Mitterand.

Russia will become more of a hotbed of protest, but Putin will be re-elected for a 6 year term.

China will continue to treat dissident writers in the same manner FOX treats Liberals and academics.

David Cameron will continue saying 'don't blame the banks' for another year. (51% of his party's funds come from Mayfair Hedge Funds.)

America's war on drugs will continue to be the most epic fail and around another 5000 people will die in Mexico because of it.

Because of Russian protests and Middle East uncertainty, Oil and Gas will hit new highs in 2012 and Exxon, BP, and Shell will post record profits.

My fellow Atheists and Theists, how do you see the worlds politics acting out 2012?

The republibertarianeo-conazis will spend billions of dollars to convince idiot Americans that the rich should be trusted to "do the right thing" for them.

The odds that it will succeed are 50-50 at this point.

I see Obama winning the election again.

I see the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer and still no increase in jobs within our borders

I see an increase on outsourcing jobs. The blame will be placed squarely on unions.

The health and welfare of America will drop by an extra few percent, but as long as they have a refridgerator, they will not be considered "poor" by fox news.

Obama will swing more to the right, signing bills thatt give blank checks to the millitary industry, and signing more and more presidential power to stomp on anything considered rights. The only reason Republicans would complain about it is because a Republican president will not be in charge of the tyranical powers.

Scotland will become an independent nation (fingers crossed).

I don't share anyone else's prediction of Obama winning the election. I think he'll lose to whoever the Republican nominee is.

Actully that wuld be great! scotland becoming indepentdant.

As far as Obama goes... he's going to win it, if by a cunt hair, but he will win it.

Why? Because the republican hopefulls are batshit fringe. The moderates of our country are fickle and silent...but they do not care for extreme left and extreme right.

They have a choice between Obama (right winger) and the republican hopefuls (extreme right wingers)

Obama will win by the centrist/moderate/majority vote hands down.

If Romney became the Republican nominee then the Presidential election really up the air. However with say Gringrich or Paul getting the nomination, Obama will win easily.

If the republicans put up Senator Palpatine they'd have a more attractive condidate than any of the choices they have at the moment.
