No KM, FYI: "born again" does not necessarily mean the person has changed his/her religious affiliation, but that he/she "has seen the light", or "has found true faith". I.o.w. that he/she has become 'reinvigorated' and fanatical/fundamentalist about his/her religion/religious affiliation and pushes it on their surroundings at every opportunity.

Afaik know the term is used only for Xtians, as in "born again Xtians". Not for Muslims, Jews, Hindus, etc. Although those can be just as fanatical/fundie about their faiths, obviously.

"Born again" whatevers are a royal PITA and should be shot on sight.

I just want to say that this is probably the truest thing I've ever read on the internet. Born Agains just attract that sort of violent reaction, although I'd perhaps be more inclined to knock out a few teeth or something instead of the gunplay.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Perhaps there should be a bumper sticker that says "dying once takes care of being born twice"?

It really doesn't surprise me or shouldn't surprise anyone else who's ever dealt with fundies because their whole belief system is based on just believing things and not using critical thinking at all. I've had religious people tell me that when it comes to religion I analyze things too much, and should stop that and just believe. Yeah, when you refuse to even think logically about your own beliefs, that portion of your brain is going to shrink.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.
