Congress, parliament, what the fuck ever..either name you give them they are still a room full of theiving and lying blokes.
A turd by any other name still stinks just as bad and is still encrusted with half digested corn. 
our parliament is entertaining though, i went to watch 2 weeks ago

What parliament? It cost about 10 times the budget(might be well out) and was rebuilt after a fire in 1850ish, the old part, the Westminster Hall is about 1000 years old and apparently during the WW2, when the Nazi's bombed parliament they saved the Hall first as it has so much meaning and history. It's were parliament used to be, and where King Charles 1st was sentenced to death (executed around the corner). Cool place, free to visit too, unlike WTC Ground Zero. Does America have to charge for everything, I was sickened when i was told i need to but a ticket,i mean, wtf?

I live in the heart of capitalism. If many Americans had their way, they would charge you at premium for every breath you take. European and british social systems are so far more advanced than our system that it practically seems like communism over here. Over here you are lucky if you are working 32 hours a week for $8 an hour. Of course, our govt says you make too much money so you dont get free health care. It would take 1 and a half paychecks to purchase rock bottom shitty health insurance. 2 paychecks to pay for a slum apartment, and you will be living off of oodles of noodles with no electricity because you will probably be making too much to get food stamps. A revolution is coming...and sadly, the way americans are, if it DOES happen you will not see us go left wing. You will see us shift pre 1850's America in the laws. We will go extreme right wing. The rich has the majority of the masses convinced that the poor wlefare recipients are the cause of all of the problems in our country, and that left wingers are traitors for fighting for the destroyers of free commerce.
Actually thats not entirely true, that's what shitheads like FOX try get people to think. From all the polls i've seen on The Young Turks, everyone is angry at Congress and Wall Street, even about 60% of Republicans like Obamacare, and less then 20% think it's a priority problem, about 3% thought social security was a problem, they hate the same stuff as everyone else. I think it was about 60% who were pissed at Wall St and think they should be more heavily regulated or taxed, im not totally sure. The people who run the Republicans don't seem to actually represent Republicans, Karl Rove, Roger Ailes and all the big business just promote that you should be against stuff that takes money away from their personal interests. Does seem to me after seeing the stats that most Republicans are more moderate then FOX would like them, but FOX, Ailes, Rove, Kochs, run the show so Republicans too have to put up with it. I remember seeing on TYT that one of the Tea Party groups got together with the local OWS group and they realised they have the same beefs as each other (just less racist on the OWS side)
Again, the whole purpose of FOX is to convince people that rich motherfuckers are doing what is best for the masses.
The problem with the masses is that they are so fucking apathetic ( or so busy trying to make ends meet ) that they don't even bother to vote. |
