Well, I'll experience Sweden first hand in a few months. I have been invited to come to the Dreamhack computer festival in Jönköping.

My brother-in-law was just there last year for a mirror telescope conference. He loved it.

You have to learn to make fun of the Danish and the Norwegians. And you won't be better treated by them. The Danish are going to secretly hate you, and the Norwegians are going to laugh at you, but the Norwegians are only doing it because of their inferiority complexes, so you don't have to worry too much about them. Ironically, once you have citizenship in one country, the door to the rest of the Nordics lays open to you. My Swedish neighbor loves living in Norway, cause Norwegians think that swedes talk funny and cute. So she always gets lots of positive reactions from Norwegians as soon as she opens her mouth. It's even gotten to the point where she gets depressed when she's back in Sweden and nobody is totally amazed by her mere presence.
So I say go for it. And if it doesn't work out, when you've gotten your Swedish citizenship, and learned to talk Swedish, go to Norway and become a comedian. You don't have to say anything funny, as long as it's in Swedish.

My visit to Sweden was fantastic. I've always wanted to go back now that I'm an adult. I have a lot of relatives that live there, so I should be going back sometime.
