Yes or no, it is frequency dependant. In the visible range, there is mostly reflection or absorption. For higher energies there's a probabilty for a photon interaction whilst it's inside you, by photoelectric effect or compton scattering but mainly yes it does "go through you"

1.The question is relevant as it supports the context of the premise.

2. I did not propose the premise, it is a quote.

3. It sounds as if you are trolling through the information to find something anything that you can suggest it is not as stated. You can apply this method to everything. What do you hope to accomplish.

4. It cannot be proven or diproven. Therefore, logically the converstation has no merit.

5. But if you insist, I am wrong.

No. Dark matter cannot be electromagnetic radiation, since this carries no mass and mass is the one property that dark matter must possess.

Honestly g-mark, you can't expect to post a quote, seemingly agree with it, and then back out of a discussion over the invalid nature of the quote by saying "ask the author, not the messenger". Next time if you don't want to argue, either don't post the quote, or accept that the quote is wrong.

The quote cannot be proven or disproven, as dark matter is open to interpretation.

Therefor it is neither right or wrong. When the particles are found, which may never happen, then the truth wil be known. But it does exist, as the affects can be obseved in the physical world.

It is understood that this matter passes through all physical substance. However, the rate cannot be known as it is undetectable.

The only property of dark matter that we know is that it is massive. We have no idea how it might interact with known matter

If something is unknown, it is meaningless to assign a random value to it!

Why don't we discover and finding out what dark matter is before instead of allready creating answers to what it is.
- Science is not trying to create an answer like religion, it tries to find an answer.
