Is this a traditional MMO style, or hosted server style like Minecraft?

Also, Minecraft has such a following now I find it hard to believe something will replace it.

I don't think it'll replace Minecraft, but it certainly looks far more fine-tuned, and the level of customization is incredible. It'll get a cult following easily.

I'll definitely check it out, especially if it makes it easier to reliably play with friends that live elsewhere in the world. With Minecraft, we constantly have server issues.

Minecraft is very demanding on server specs. If they can pull it off with a more reliable server implementation they have a chance of stealing some users away from Minecraft, but not those that spent so many weeks/months in their cities and buildings. Take the group that is recreating Middle-Earth, unless there is an option to port those structures they will not move to this.

I'm still waiting on one of these artistic games that ISN'T choppy as fuck.

I can play games of others that have such graphics... but I cannot create like I desire to.
