Minecraft anyone?
Hey yall wassup

Was just wondering if anyone had a PSN account and a minecraft? And if anyone would be interested in befriending me and perhaps swap ideas, chat, whatevs. I got a working mic of my own.

Idk, just bored and thought I'd ask.

I have to say though I'd probably only be able to play on weekends and maybe not even then at times.

RE: Minecraft anyone?
I used to play Minecraft, but it got a bit too easy. It was quite fun building stuff, but for a more dangerous survival game experience I left for Don't Starve. Although if you want to chat about Minecraft, I can do that.

Oh, I played it on PC, instead of Playstation. Probably the most intricate thing I ever build was a mining complex. Because it's Mine craft. I made it in a pattern where I could cover everything, and get all the resources. My house was generally 11x11. No great castle or anything.

Nice,

i myself built a good amount of things from underwater facilities to simple monuments and houses. largest house I built was 4 stories high and had a balcany and wheat/melon/pumpkin farm.

RE: Minecraft anyone?
I've had a farm, and a ranch, by my house. At one point I put in an outer fence and put a line of nether rock around it to make a fire barrier. I don't actually use fences to contain my animals, because some cow or whatever will get pushed outside the fence by the rest of the group. So I put stone blocks down, and half blocks on top of that.

I usually seek out open areas like plains or extreme hill biomes, so the skeletons and zombies can't hide under trees from the sun. With the undead burning, spiders going neutral, and Endermen teleporting away, the only thing to worry about is those hateful Creepers. There must be a fanbase for those things, since it's pretty much the mascot, but I just hate them.

I never did figure out a good way to hae the enemies spawn. and be easy to get rid of. Like having a big hole under your house where enemies can spawn, and finding a way to make it safe to go in and kill them. Except maybe hae golems down there too.

8 bit computer (plus your usual mob farms and such...once built a theme town...that was fun...then I burnt it to the ground -more fun-). Ever try a revolving drum Chad? Easy to cluster the mobs, then move them to the pistons to be processed. Oh...oh, no, wait, best thing I ever built was an automated mooshroom breeding farm and slaughter house. Minecarts ftw! Connect 4, tic tac toe...was working on an arcade shooter like galaga when I quit. Always wanted to try my hand at chess, but decent displays were difficult, and 8 bits won't make a very good AI.

then there was this thing Tibs and I built....not complicated, but wonderful......not allowed to talk about it though.

RE: Minecraft anyone?
Minecarts are awesome. Horses are awesome, when they don't cause the game to lag. Boats can be cool, but I had a hard time getting back to land without it breaking or shooting off when I got out. not awesome.

I once made a castle wall with a powered gate and drawbridge. The moa was lava. poush a buton, and the bridge raises and the gate opens. Push it again, and the bridge lowers and the gate closes. I hae also made a nice looking blacksmith's workshop with a cobblestone generator. I just never got around to making much else for the inside of the castle.

RE: Minecraft anyone?
Thats good stuff, if you want true pvp server protection, you should make the castle wall base a cobble gen intself (cap it with obsidian at height. That way, if people try to break the walls, they just rebuild and reset as they're busted. If you make the gen double thick with a lava partition it'll burn an intruder after the block is broken -then rebuild-.

If anyone's playing minecraft and wants to see some serious machinery come up....just gimme an IP.
(and possibly clear it with the server admin - I've seen servers take everything thrown at them and I;ve seen them grind to a halt with a nothing more than a shift register running on a counter)

RE: Minecraft anyone?
That's a good idea. A wall by itsself would only slow them down unless you had lava on the inside. I never actually played PVP, because I don't want griefers stealing my stuff. I played Hearthstone for a bit at one point. I made myself a nice cabin with containers, and filled them with valuables. Then they got stolen. Any time I tried to restock the cabin, they got stolen again. You have to build up a lot of points just to get to a point where you can find the bastard who did it and kill them. and even then, about all you'll be good for is tracking people down and killing them.
