Nothing you'd done. It started happening to me at work. Seems like Chrome has a rendering bug with borders (the white strip was a border that is supposed to only be 1px high). I've removed the border code for now.

Ah... OK

There seem to be a great many 'bugs' with Chrome. Firefox had no issues, other than it is terminally slow on my connection, which could be a problem with my Antivirus program and ISP. Not being versed in codes or language I couldn't say.

If the problem were with your ISP, all browsers would be slow-ish. Firefox is lagging behind in the speed department, which is one of the reasons I switched (again) to Chrome.

Took me 2 refreshes but the white stripe is gone in my Chrome brwoser.

Java 6 is making some impact... and there we're 11 updates for windows 7 (3 for the .NET framework alone!)
