You'd scarcely know here in the US either. Your average american would probably think we have the best police protection and the best legal system in the whole goddamned world - especially if they get their news from FOX. Sometimes it seems like the whole country has been drinking the kool aid. It's like living in a bizarro world where everything is fucked up but all your neighbors think everything is so damned swell.
