Just when I thought Rick Santorum couldn't possibly be any dumber.....

Rick Santorum aparently is against public education. Supposedly he thinks everyone ought to homeschool. Futhermore he doesn't believe that the founding fatheres of the U.S. wanted public education. Ok, where's a good bang head smily face guy.... ahh, there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&featur...IvPQCHcIpI
Oh, god I just saw another video. I've got to stop this before I do something drastic to ease the pain. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNzBb4NxZ...re=related
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise

Oh please, oh please, win Michigan Rick! I so want to see this pie fight, clown show drag on as long and as far to the loopy right wing as possible.

Santorum is fighting dirty here in Michigan with robo calls being sent out to Democrats to vote in the Republican primary, which is legal here. I almost thought about doing it simply to make sure the more batshit candidate got elected, hopefully insuring that we wouldn't have to endure this right wing nuttery at the presidential level, but the idea of Santorum taking the nomination scares me. Americans have shown that no candidate is too stupid or crazy to have a viable chance, so while I'd like to think Rick gaining the nomination would mean an inevtiable loss for the GOP, history has shown to never underestimate the stupidity of the American voter.

The problem with Santorum is that he's stupid enough to say what he and his ultra-fundies actually believe. He thinks that public schools and colleges are there to brainwash kids & young adults into not believing in God any more, so we need to get rid of all these public schools & colleges. Let's limit information which doesn't agree with what Christianity teaches.
Santorum is a dangerous extremist who wants to run America the same way Muslim clerics are running Iran.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

I was thinking along the same lines myself. If Santorum wins I think this would mean certain loss for the republicans in the upcoming presidential election.

Have people already forgotten Ronnie Reagan? And what about Dan Quayle? (OK, was George Senior's,VP)
Some Dan Quotes:
"A low voter turnout is an indication of fewer people going to the polls."
"Quite frankly, teachers are the only profession that teach our children."
"For NASA, space is still a high priority."
"We're going to have the best-educated American people in the world."
"We have a firm commitment to NATO, we are a part of NATO. We have a firm commitment to Europe. We are a part of Europe"
"My friends, no matter how rough the road may be, we can and we will never, never surrender to what is right."
"I was recently on a tour of Latin America, and the only regret I have was that I didn't study Latin harder in school so I could converse with those people."
"It's time for the human race to enter the solar system! "
"What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is."

He is not a catholic at all. Of this, I am certain. I don't know what the fuck he is, besides batshit crazy, and I am not saying that catholics aren't batshit crazy (because they are), but his shit comes from a different kind of bat.
Catholics are evolutionists. They do believe that it was divinely guided, but that's why they've built so many private schools. I've never met a Catholic who was against keeping the word god out of science class in public schools. If they didn't like it, they sent their kid to a Catholic school. Fucking, duh.
