Hell no! The idea behind it is understandable to a certain point. However, the execution was less than stellar.

I found a lot of it quite accurate to be honest. Some parts seemed to be pointless but on the whole I enjoyed reading it.

Me too. It was pretty terrible.
How dare you insult that book I've never read before! Blasphemy!!!
"Sisters, you know only the north; I have traveled in the south lands. There are churches there, believe me, that cut their children too, as the people of Bolvangar did--not in the same way, but just as horribly. They cut their sexual organs, yes, both boys and girls; they cut them with knives so that they shan't feel. That is what the Church does, and every church is the same: control, destroy, obliterate every good feeling. So if a war comes, and the Church is on one side of it, we must be on the other, no matter what strange allies we find ourselves bound to."

Re-reading it at the moment (mood permitting). What makes it especially interesting for me is in regard to the bit in the introduction where he thanked his wife, Lalla Ward (a.k.a. The Honourable Sarah Ward) for reading the manuscript to him during development. So I read it with these kind of images in mind and the win factor just goes through the roof:
All I need is the audiobook and the illusion will be complete.

Nope. The Doctor's Romana (second incarnation; she used to be Mary Tamm).
Incidentally, the pics in which she's wearing her schoolgirl outfit are from a story called
City of Death which featured heavy use of location filming in Paris in which it was set. Its most notable feature though is that it was written by Douglas Adams himself, under a pseudonym as he was the series' script editor at the time - pre-
Hitchhiker's I believe.
