Pretty sure that "you gotta respect..." was a figure of speech. You don't have to respect him for shit. I find him as sickening as Beck and the rest who know they're spewing out bullshit (which is probably why he agreed to do Family Guy - some sort of therapeutic balance) and do it anyway.

I so hope you are right. Last I heard he is bleeding advertisers and cant stop it....the same way beck went down. He lost so many advertisers that Fox kicked him for not making them enough money.

Sure, it was all supposed to be "secret" why he departed from Fox, but its obvious seeing how many advertisers he scared off. Beck was so batshit crazy the he not only scared off advertisers from his show, but even scared them away from the fox channel itself..which is REALLY bad.

Advertisers continued abandoning Mr. Limbaugh’s program in droves today, including companies who had sponsored it for years, like the online dating site NaziMingle.com™.

The only good news for Mr. Limbaugh today came from GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who offered this muted statement of support: “Look, I wouldn’t have chosen the words he did. But it’s not like he called her a poor person or something.”

Online media giant AOL, tax attorney group Tax Resolution Services, weight loss program Sensa and vitamin supplier Vitacost announced Monday that they were pulling their commercials from Limbaugh's program, bringing the total number of companies withdrawing their ads to eleven.

My personal opinion - I do not for one second believe Rush "sincerely apologized" to Fluke. Rush NEVER apologizes for anything, and he has that history to prove he never apologizes. It is very difficult to get an accurate list of who is dropping RUSH, as it seems that just as soon as a list is created, another handful of advertisers and even entire radio stations are dumping Rush. We may not know the entire damage done to Rush because of his big fat bigot mouth until a few week or so down the road. Right now Rush's show is bleeding badly and Rush is frantically trying to do damage control. I will try to keep the list updated.

I also wished to spawn a list of advertisers still affiliated with Rush for those interested to send emails or to flat out boycott them (which is what I do. Every dollar spent is a political message), but it seems I will be unable to do so at the rate advertisers are dropping like flies. The list I would build now would be wrong within the next 12 hours at the rate this hemoraging of Rush's program sponsers is going now.




It keeps getting better and better. I do love seeing fascists get their asses kicked.

If you read Rush's "apology," even it is filled with arrogance. He didn't apologize for calling her a slut & prostitute because it was the wrong thing to do, he said he tried to use humor and just used the "wrong choice of words" and "lowered himself to the Left's level." So apparently he still believes she's a slut & whore, but he didn't mean to actually say so. And I guaran-damn-tee you that he wouldn't be apologizing at all if advertisers hadn't started leaving in droves. It would have been more sincere had he said, "Look, I made some comments which were inappropriate and wrong. Speculating about someone's sex life because they use contraception is just wrong, and I was totally wrong when I accused her of being a prostitute. In my zeal to demonize anyone supporting the contraception policy I got carried away and said terribly derogatory things about someone who was just trying to explain her views to Congress. I'm terribly sorry and won't let it happen again." And would have been totally sincere had he said it before advertisers started pulling out.
