As I always understood it (and I could be wrong) the reasons "players" got so much "hate" was because they romanced women until they slept with them - then dropped them like a bad habit.
Women, on the other hand, seem to have to deal with people calling them "sluts" if they sleep with guys they aren't dating seriously or if they sleep with too many different guys in a short span of time. Doubly so if they do it irresponsibly (unsafe sex) and with strangers.

Players can be just about anyone. Some of them hardly romance. They are actually kind of pricks. Insecure women fall for it.

Well...no one's called me a slut except my sister in a round about way. I'm perfectly honest about dating/sleeping with more than one guy. If I'm only escaping it because I don't like strangers touching me, well...
To my face, anyway. I don't give a fuck what they sling behind my back, honestly. I'm too busy having fantastic sex without making anyone dinner.

I have never been slut-shamed. And Lord knows I've tried – and still do – to become eligible! To the real stallions out there: how many women do I have to do before I attain that rank?
