Yeah, well the bible says a lot of things, much of which even devout believers find uncomfortable. Not to mention incompatible with modern life, as Col Ingersoll reminds us: "If a man would follow, today, the teachings of the Old Testament, he would be a criminal. If he would follow strictly the teachings of the New, he would be insane." Ingersoll, by the way, was one of those intellectual men of whom you spoke.

Which almighty Creator would this be, I wonder? There are plenty to choose from, not all interchangeable. The Hopi creator god Taiowa, perhaps, or the Indian Brahma? I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you're referring to the creator god of the Old Testament, Yahweh or whatever your favourite designation may be for the character. Assuming this to be the case, I suppose you would be comfortable with teaching children the love of Allah - it is, after all, the same character in a different cultural setting. Or would you have a problem with that?
Basically, programming impressionable minds with falsehoods and mythology intended to impinge on all other teachings and reasoning processes is just about the very definition of indoctrination.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

No
None of my business how people choose to bring up their children ,as long as they obey the law. Nor do I care.

Yes actually, it fucking is. But please don't be so disingenuous to forget all the bullshit that comes along with it. Like the homophobia, the burning in hell for eternity, the 'blind faith' which is basically the retardation of the mind. I could go on.
The children in public schools are being indoctrinated with the false science of evolution. So don't shout to loud, please.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Except for the fact that evolution isn't false science (nor a religion neither, before anyone dumps that particularly noxious little turd into the pool). Otherwise you might have a point.

False science of evolution? Are you serious? You're trolling me right? Gotta be.
If you're not, then there's no point me even retorting with someone as ignorant as you. If you want to be so willfully blind to not accept the overwhelming evidence for evolution then I may as well be smashing my head off a brick wall.

The Royal Society is a Fellowship of the world's most eminent scientists and is the oldest scientific academy in continuous existence. It is a group of over 1400 of the most outstanding individuals of our generation. In a survey done here in the UK it was found that only 3.3% believed in God, at a time when 70% of the general population described themselves as believers.
In separate pole in the 90's it was found that only 7% of members of the American National Academy of Sciences believed in God, when 90% of the general American population and 97% of the American prison population believed in a God.
It seems people do just fine without indoctrination...
