What's with all the new christian members?
|
I enjoy the theists, except for the shit and run types. Its annoying when I or anyone else don't get to crucify their arguments. Well, then again, I guess we do crucify their arguments but what's a good crucifiction if no one screams in pain?
One thing I can't stand is how they treat women. When they start to loose an argument with a woman they bring up the whole "woman should be submissive, not take authority over a man, and be silent" bullshit. I don't know if any of them are brave enough to start that crap here. It would be entertaining if they did. What I imagine them doing is going silent when they loose (they can't imagine loosing to a woman) and just general disrespect. If the theist population increases this problem could also increase. Those into bullshit control ought to watch for this.
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise
This is something I have noticed before on other forums, it seems the closer to easter it gets, the more christians seem to come out of the woodwork. It's not something I've ever tested however.

The reason we have so many Christians joining is probably because it's dead-savior-on-a-stick season, so they probably think they can get in good with God by converting some lost souls before Easter.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.
Easter is about chocolate eggs from the Easter bunny. The Christians lie.
Are you serious? Christians get more Christiany on the forums around Easter? Personally I haven't noticed this but I have been stuck in fundamentalism for the last 30 years. Perhaps it's different online or when you look at Christianity as a whole. This is interesting.

I've not charted it or anything like that, but past experience does suggest that there is an upswing in the number of christians joining atheist forums during the easter season.

During the Xtmas season it seems to increase the influx too Sciwoman.
Yes it does. However, I don't recall noticing an increase in theists from other religions during their holy days.
