I'm at a loss... I can't come up with enough obscenity to express how that "preacher" makes me feel. Maybe if I knew a different language....

I sat through many a sermon like this, though.... WTF was I thinking?

Is it just me, or have they just recently started this "We can't worship in public" nonsense fairly recently? I mean, they've long been claiming persecution but it seems like ever since around last "war on Christmas" season or so I've been seeing this claim that Christians are being actively denied the right to practice their faith, not to mention the lie that they're not allowed to celebrate Christmas repeated on the internet. I don't know if it's part of an anti-Obama campaign or what, but it does show how desperate Christians must be to throw around these lies as fact.

The style of this guy's preaching is old fashioned, but the message is standard typical in hard core fundy churches. These preachers are even welcome to preach in the less hard core churches. Now imagine going to church every Sunday, perhaps on Wednesday too, and also a little more church during the week and hearing the same catch phrases over and over. No one is critically breaking this apart and analyzing it for accuracy. They just keep hearing it repeated over and over. Notice how the crowd responds to it. They hear the familiar catch phrases and it confirms their beliefs. They stand and clap in agreement. It's almost like a stadium full of people cheering on their favorite team. Isn't this like brainwashing?

I was able to get out of this because I went to less hard core churches......and I regularly told people to fuck off. You wonder how hard it must be for people to break out of this shit. Some other things must be going on in their life because nothing in the church is going to cause them to question anything.

The point? Throwing a fit at a podium in front of a congregation of people doesn't make your fucktarded views any more legitimate than any other religion. Christians have always been stupid, but it's their arrogance that usually pisses me off.

Well, I saw this clip on the news this morning and guess who is sitting on stage just off camera from the angle in this video. Rick Santorum. When the preacher went on about 'if you don't like America, get out!' or whatever he said, Santorum had this look on his face like, 'oh shit, this is going to come back and bite me in the ass.' The crowd went wild after the comment, frothy man was savvy enough to know not clap on camera. Apparently he isn't as stupid as he appears.
