walking by his side constantly, is different than knowing of the concept of him + salvation.

Walking by his side is much different. The latter means a bit of distance and not thinking about religion much and it not playing as big a part of your life. Walking by his side means to have it be much more involved in your life than "knowing of him".

When it's that involved in your life, and the novelty rubs off, the exhilaration of being saved, logic begins to knock on your door because...the belief system is kind of illogical. I bet people have a lot of different responses to this knocking upon their christian beliefs, but beleive me, the knocking will come.it'll just be your own dis-ease with your beliefs and how they conflict with logic which will be covered up with saying it's satan or "this is a test from God."

i'm speaking from experience here.
