Can't get in to chat.

Lately, when I've tried to get into chat, this error message is thrown -

As I'm not in the habit of going to random links just because some software claims I should, can anyone shed some light on what might be going on here?

In the meantime, I'm making sure my AV is up-to-date and running a full scan.

Are you using the client that is built into the chat.php webpage?

If so, can you try and use a proper IRC client? There is a tutorial on how to make it work with Pidgin: http://atheistforums.org/thread-4019.html

Yes, using chat.php.

Cool, I use Pidgin already - the only IRC I ever use is the one here, so I've never bothered to use anything but the embedded client. I'll give it a try.

I appear to be connected with Pidgin, not seeing any other activity though, so not sure it's really working.
