A person would have to be to put up with forty pages of naysaying.

How come you didn't include the link to my blog when you quoted me? Minimalist missed it out too. Hmmm... More to this insult than meets the eye. Anyway, it's nice to see this idea has received a better reception. No rotten vegetables being thrown this time around. And Minimalist is going on about the Red Sea Rift and the Jordan Rift Valley. Fantastic stuff. You obviously couldn't admit to each other then that the idea could have mileage but some of had a little ponder after I'd gone.

Well, what more could I ask for?

But stupid superstition do. I have a huge collection of fossilized superstition that I dug out of the dirt that devout christians call their mind.

I've heard there's a volcano that would destroy America if it ever erupted. That's probably it.
This is stupid

Do you live close to it?
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I believe he's referring to the Yellowstone super-volcano.

If so, "close" is relative.

Agreed, southwestward would be better, until the one in New Mexico speaks up.

I think you missed the point. If a supervolcano eruption spews 1000+ km3 of ash and lava, it isn't going to matter all that much where you are as the impact will be global.

Yes I know, but at least being in the southwest might be some better considering our weather patterns are generally west to east and north to southeast. That's until the supervolcano in NM erupts and finishes the country off.
