If so, "close" is relative.
I would have thought living on the San Andreas Fault was more than enough for the average thrill seeker or god-will- provide loon.
Have I misunderstood,or is San Francisco going to become an offshore island any time from well, now?

Sin changed that very good creation.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

How come your "all-knowing" god didn't know that he had fucked up? How "good" could it have been if he soon felt compelled to wipe it out?
Why is your god always a shmuck?

Simply ludicrous.
The Greco-Roman philosopher Celsus had a concept of "god" as someone who would build things right the first time. Unlike the clown the Jews invented who had to tear it down and start over.

I read something about that in Scientific American GC, molten hot plumes of sin being the red shit that flies out of the gaping maw of a volcano.

God's not a volcano, Mt. Sinai (Jebel al Lawz) is not a volcano.

Absolutely.
Volcanoes exist. More than one can say for your god.
