Kyu
Like I said before, I always try to follow the examples of my Prophet (PBUH) in all respects but this does not mean that I have to marry a younger wife because he did not make it compulsory. There are things in which he told us to do which makes it compulsory like eating with the right hand and there are things in which he did but did say you have to do it as well like his first wife was almost twice his age and this wife was much younger than him. There were companions during his time who married women younger, same and older than they were and the Prophet (PBUH) was very happy for them.
Ideally for me, I would prefer someone similar age to mine as this is my choice, which is perfectly within the Islamic principles and not going against the Prophet's (PBUH) saying.
I would like to make two last points. Firstly, although it is widely reported that the Prophet (PBUH) married Aisha at the age of nine, many scholars, researchers and other reports suggests that he in fact married her at the age of 17 or that she moved in with him at the age of 17 (prior to this, they didn't have any sexual intercourse). If you ask me, I don't know that exact age although the previous video said age 9 but many other evidence say age 17 but I don't know exactly.
Secondly, Aisha was not an ordinary woman, in Islam she is considered to be 1 of the most important women in Islam and known as one of the mothers of the believers.
