That extract from Aaron Freeman is beautiful because its true.
We are observers, witnesses to the dazzling displays of cosmic marvels far out there and deep within us. Our energy "prevails death" for it continues to be true in modern physics that Matter/Mass and Energy are all truly indestructible in that they cannot be created or destroyed.
The amazing revelation we learn when we're young that "we", (humans) are physically forms and arrangements of the universe's countless incalculable interactions as its atoms come into "us", join and form part of "us", and leave "us" for new exchanging atoms, strips away our individuality and replaces it with feelings and connections of oneness with reality that surpass silly religious notions of "Divinity".
The very real human feeling of awe we experience when confronted, overwhelmed and swallowed up by the complexity of nature, is far greater and colourful than any empty feeling of reverence for a fictional black-and-white creator god character.

What makes you think it is a chaotic place, many scientist say it is well organized and by what little I've seen, I would agree. God who created it, saw it come to life and has enjoyed it ever since.
You only love and tolerate the cosmos because you think your personal god created it?
That's very depressing. With that shallow mindset and egocentric world-view its a wonder you see the real beauty in anything at all. Well, its your prerogative to view the demonstrably-real and wondrously complex universe with narrow-minded contempt or indifference.
Have fun with that.
