Just an update. My friend seems to have settled in on the notion that the reason why she hasn't heard from god yet is because she's not listening hard enough. She has resolved to listen intently and wait for him to speak.

It's kind of sad. I remember doing this numerous times before I gave up.
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise
