Oh, some guy wrote a book and said so. OK, then. I fully expect what you will find is he employed wishful thinking to create a more palatable new religion and then used confirmation bias to cherry pick some part of scripture to come up with an obtuse interpretation to justify his act of flat out making shit up.

Our Lord Yahweh needs souls to be his "objects of wrath" on the Day of Judgment. Me, I'm going to have a box seat next to Mrs. Betty Bowers and Pastor Deacon Fred as we gleefully watch all the unimaginable torture. Just remember as you're being sodomized by demons, Jesus loves you.
Now Satan's a bit easier to account for. He knows he's damned and he wants to drag everyone else to be with him. Misery loves company and all.

Since you don't have any scriptural justification to offer, I dismiss your musings about Satan to be the stuff of vapid liberal Christian daydreams, based on imagination, wishful thinking and confirmation bias.

Dude, you threw your hypothesis out there as if it had any basis in fact. It's your job to back it up with evidence or at least a scriptural reference. It's not my job to promise I'll be impressed.

Personally, I prefer the idea that god and satan are building their armies with souls to attack each other, because it makes for good fiction like 'Spawn.'
