Is Quran the proof of God?
RE: Is Quran the proof of God?
Just because Islam calls for butchery doesn't mean that muslims heed that call.  Muslims are no better than any other cultists at following the demands of their gods. Most seem to know better, anyway.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

RE: Is Quran the proof of God?

The thing that struck me about the Iyah 21:30, if we grant torikul91 that it is referring to the "big bang" theory, is that people could not know that it was a scientific miracle until cosmologists found evidence for such an event. Funny how we need evidence to confirm the Quran, but we don't need any evidence - just faith -  when it comes to Allah. When the "big bang" is not longer accepted (at least in its current form) then that would mean that the Quran is wrong.

People assert that evolution is "just a theory" therefore we cannot trust it; yet these same people are often ones to use the Big Bang THEORY to confirm their religious texts. Scientists use the word theory because they are humble people. Scientists want to prove each other wrong, because it will get them recognized - and maybe get a Nobel Prize too.

If the Quran is so accurate in describing our universe, then why don't scientists go to it for explanations? Did they say to themselves, "Gee I wonder what the Noble Quran says on this subject"? "Well, er, Quran 79.30 says that Allah spread out the Earth and made it flat so we must therefore be wrong about the Earth being round." (even though, let's suppose, that scientist just sent a helium balloon with a camera attached to it to the edge of the atmosphere and they managed to record a video showing that the Earth is round.

1- People, saying that "we don't generalize on Muslims as all being bloodthirsty terrorists !!!", yet obviously say that Islam calls for the butchering of others; ah double standards?  non of you studied the religion closely, and that is one fallacy you can ever remove.

2-Read number 1 again.

Meh.

Well, I don't know to whom you're referring. but I for one don't recall ever saying anything like that. I was merely following Rob's revelation.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

If you can't tell the difference between a book and its readers, that's really your problem and not ours. Perhaps you need to see someone about that?

It takes more than that to temper with my feelings, stuff like capitalist's monopoly over everything, tactical bombing, nuclear weapons, and non-religious people creating religious states (cough cough like what happened in the 40s)..and people calling me "brown" !

Esquilax

Yes !
Of course I need a shrink ! too bad the insurance doesn't cover me for that; since its a non-believing world, they believe that only the wealthy deserve free treatment !!

You know the correlation goes the other way over here, it's the believers that think that only the wealthy deserve treatment, demographically.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that; but I wasn't even trying to "temper" with your feelings.

Here's a tip: if you're going to judge me, do it on things I say and do and not the things I don't (umless I should have) and not expect me to protest. Okay?

Saying the the religion is violent when it's not, is something I got to refer to.
And that includes indirect references embedded in sarcasm
