Is Quran the proof of God?
RE: Is Quran the proof of God?
(January 12, 2016 at 6:49 am)Rhythm Wrote: It's not a point that needs proving Atlas, we're not having a philosophical debate, understand?  I have informed you of a fact.  There was no Adam, and there was no Eve.  We would know if there were...and our methods for determining this are a little more sophisticated than digging up a grave.

The very first evidence is trivial, the earliest evidence science has is, by default, the very "first" evidence.  Why do you think science would know nothing about something that it possesses and exists by fiat of definition?

Lost evidence is no evidence.  Is that what you're holding out hope for..some "lost evidence" that contradicts all other evidence and allows your fairy tale?  Good luck waiting on that.

I have not claimed that humans have no parents, mouth breather...I told you, in no uncertain terms..that there was no adam and no eve..repeatedly.  You could not have gotten that wrong on accident.  I wish this fact would make you wonder...but I'm not sure you're capable.

I'm not convinced & here is why : was the Garden of Eden here on earth or was it in the heavens; in a different place ? before assaulting me , realize that I'm saying this because of this verse :

( Sura 2 Verse 36 )   But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Descend from it [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."

In other words, our presence -along with the evidence of presence- on earth, was not the first existence our specie get.
Having a brain that extends for the idea to fit inside it, is indeed a wise brain. Like why not ? Who knows ?

Oh right..You're not having a philosophical discussion. But I'm speaking within a "what if ?" context..a "what if" that is hard to disprove. Nothing against science.

Homeless Nutter

Nah, just a daydreamer who saw his share of wonderful crazy stuff, dozens of them, enough to believe a book read and preached by an illiterate Arab man 1400 years ago.

Quote:No, you don't have to disprove magical claims to do science. You ignore them as speculation at best, unless they have any actual evidence behind them. How much time have you spent disproving Lord of the Rings? How can you be so sure it didn't really happen just as written?

Tolkien stated directly that his work was no more than an attempt to produce a myth composed from European folklore. If he foretold the tale without saying that, and evidence for disproving it wasn't there, then why not have a mind that can extend to accept the possibility of the occasion ?

Quote:"You can't prove it false so it's probably true" is not a valid argument, which I made a whole video about recently. I'll repeat it here in case you missed it. If you ignore this and continue with the same argument, you're utterly wasting your time.

I would say "might be true" instead of "probably true".
The clear disproving evidence would be something like a holy book, saying that earth is triangular, or saying that the sun is purple.

I never say "you can't prove it false so it's probably true". If so, then my whole faith would go down.

I'm hardly surprised that you are unmoved by facts when they conflict with your faith, Atlas.  There was no Adam and Eve.

Aliens, with another existence...really? Get the fuck outta here with that shit, it's even worse than the adam and eve nonsense, lol. We are not aliens, we come from the earth. We know this the same way we know that there was no adam and eve.

Your "what if" not only goes against science, it goes against sanity.

Can you imagine, that a verse in the Quran totally matches your statement (in bold) : !!

(This translation is literal..in Arabic this is a very well arranged sentence. Repeating the word is to assure what was said) :
(Sura 71 verse 17 )   And Allah has caused you to spring from the earth, springing.
( 18 )   Then He will return you into it and extract you, extraction.

So, we agree btw !
Maybe our molecules came from another dimension ??

The writers of the quran correctly claimed that we came from the only world they'd ever known!  How could they have known?  It's a miracle, praise Allah!

Nope...sorry, as retarded as your contention already was...the writers are discussing the common narrative of a made made of dirt. Point of fact, they were wrong about that. Yet -another- mistake in the quran.

I see that you've abandoned the ancient aliens theory of adam and eve apologism.  Good for you.

Have an open mind.

There's a difference between open and gaping open.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

An open mind means believing whatever has evidence supporting it.

Coming to a pre-drawn conclusion and then trying work backwards, regardless of evidence, is being entirely close minded.

Open is not empty, eh?  I'm wondering though, at this point...which of the two conflicting stories he gave us, from the quran....he thinks is true?

Are we aliens (2:36) .......or did "allah" make us "spring up" from the dirt (71:17)?

Care to comment further, Atlas?

Number of times the word "Moon" appears in the Qur’an = 27
Time it takes the Moon to travel round the Earth (in days) = 27

Number of times the word “land” appears in the Qur’an = 13
Number of times the word “sea” appears in the Qur’an = 32
Proportion of dry land to sea covering the Earth = 13/45 = 29%
Proportion of sea to dry land on Earth = 32/45 = 71%

The star Sirius appears in the Surah called an-Najm, meaning “Star.” The stars comprising Sirius approach one another in their courses once every 49.9 years. This astronomic phenomenon is indicated in verses 49 and 9 of Surat an-Najm.

Al-Hadid is the 57th Surah of the Qur’an, and the numerical value of the words al-Hadid is also 57.
The value of the word "hadid" alone is 26, and this is also the atomic number of iron.

The word “day (yavm)" appears 365 times in the Qur’an.
It takes the Earth 365 days to orbit the Sun.

The words “man” and “woman” both appear 23 times in the Qur’an.
The 23rd chromosome is the main element that determines an individual’s gender.

Verse 19:57 of the Qur’an speaks of “raising to a high place.”
"Sputnik 1," the first unmanned satellite, was launched in 1957.

Surat an-Nahl, meaning “Bee,” is the 16th Surah.
The bee has 16 chromosomes.

This proves that Quran is the word of God.
I haven't read Quran myself to refute these arguments. Any advises?
Here are some more miracles of the Qur'an that we are blessed to have knowledge of. I take credit for none of these examples I give. Also they all r n the Arabic language and not the translation. Each CH.has a number of verses. If u add the ch.number with the verses in that ch.u get an even or odd number. For ex ch.1 has 7 verses so 1+7=8. So ch.1 is even. If u do this for all 114 ch.u get exactly 57 even and 57 odd numbers. Add all even numbers u get the sum of 6236 which happens to be the total amount of verses in the Qur'an. Add all odd numbers u get 6555 which is 1+2+3.....114 the total number of ch. In the Qur'an. U mentioned one miracle about the moon but here's another few. As u said moon is mentioned 27 times, but also the word new moon is mentioned only once totalling 28. There are 28 phases of the moon that orbits our Earth. Also Ch.54 is Al-Qamar or  the Moon. Verse 1 is the only time moon is said in this ch. If u count the remaining verses to the end of the Qur'an u get 1390. The Islamic calendar year 1390 is equal to 1969 of our Gregorian calendar, and we all know in 1969 man first set foot on the moon. In Arabic there is no letter V so they use a W to substitute. In 8:72 the Arabic letters WENUS appear. The next time they appear is 11:3. And the final time 17:7. If u place a V where the W is u get the planet Venus. There are exactly 243 verses between 8:72 and 11:3. It takes Venus exactly 243 days to revolve around the sun. Also it rotates on its axis at a 177 degree angle which is why 17:7 is a factor as well. 46:23 the letters M A R S appear in that order. In 46:30 the letters DMOS appear. This is the only ch these two names appear together. The planet Mars has a moon named Deimos. Science has proved Mars is completely covered with sand dunes which is the name of ch46 Al-Ahqaf Sand dunes. The word for month is used 12 times. Angels and demons are compared to each other and angels and demons are each used 88 times. This life and Hereafter are both used 115 times. The number 19 is a special number. Perhaps consisting of the first and last single digit numbers 1 and 9. In 74:30 Allah says there are 19 angels guarding Hell. 74:31 says this will give The People of the Book certainty and increase faith in the believers. Also those who have diseases in their hearts will just shun it. This verse comprises of 57 words or 19x3. The words in this ch prior to this verse are 95 or 19x5. Count the letters all the way up to but not including "nineteen" there are 361 letters or 19x19. How did all these 19s end up by the word nineteen? Ch.96 contains 19 verses and is the first of the last 19 ch.of the Qur'an 114-95=19. The first 5 verses are the first Quranic revelation received by Prophet Muhammad pbuh from Allah through Angel Gabriel. The letters in these verses are 76 or 19x4 and the total amount of letters in the ch.is 285 19x15. Jesus pbuh is said to be like Adam pbuh by Allah, meaning He created them both. Another way they are both alike is their names are each mentioned 25 times. They only are mentioned in the same verses twice. The second time they are both mentioned together is in ch.19  and it is the 19th time Adam pbuh is mentioned and the 19th time Jesus pbuh is mentioned. If u count the verses between when both are mentioned together u get 1957 or 19x103. Also add up the verse numbers when Jesus pbuh is mentioned they also equal 1957 or 19x103. So all of these listed here plus the ones that you've already listed, plus many that I haven't mentioned yet and ones that Allah has not blessed us to know of yet shows that all of these can not be coincidental and are obviously part of a divine plan from none other than the One and only God Almighty Allah.

Paragraphs are just things that happen to other people, huh?

As we can clearly see, if you multiply the value of pi by pixies, carry the one and discard all fractions...allah does not exist.
