By the way, these are the zombies we spoke to:
Clayton Hill (now deceased for real) and Sharon Ceccati. Both instantly recognisable and as I say hadn't changed a bit. Ken Foree, Peter in the film, was there as well but we didn't speak to him.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

The colour does seem a little off, I grant you, however it's not a major thing in context. Tom Savini, who did all the special makeup effects, was just starting out at the time and sort of feeling his way around. On the commentary track of the DVD, he talks about being a little disappointed at the time in the results but says that it was felt to be in keeping with the comicbook feel of the story so they ran with it.
Besides, see them in action and you'll see them again in your sleep.

I wonder if he was behind the guy in Miami?
(See how skilfully I brought the thread full circle?)

If anyone wants to watch the original Night of the Living Dead, you can download it for free at
http://nightofthelivingdead.tv/the-movie/. There are no problems with copyright - because of an oversight by the original distributor, the film is in the
public domain.
