RE: Pastor once told me we all naturally believe in god

I would actually be incredibly wary of giving advice this way, other than the obvious things such as general reassurance or motivating the person to seek their own help. It's the same reason why I'm loath to give relationship or family advice to people I know in real life, I'd hate for something to go wrong for that person as a result of their taking my advice.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Sometimes people need to be told the cold truth. If I was in his situation I'd rather people were honest. Why the fuck come on an internet forum telling everyone how suicidal you are if you don't want them to be at the very least honest?
He is clearly not well, Napoleon. He is hurting, and its not because he wants to. There is a reason why doctors don't use that type of language, or why I guarantee they won't try to just talk him out of his feelings and expect him to get better. Telling him to get a grip is like telling someone with a broken leg to walk it off. "Honest" is not quite the word I am thinking of.
I am not picking on you at all, in fact the only reason I mentioned that post was because you did tell him to get help, so I can tell you had only the best and more pure of intentions. (And for the record, I am sure the same is true of everyone else; I was rash in judging the thread after only having read the first page)
I think the reason he came to an internet forum is because he has so few people to talk to in real life: depression can be hard to talk about to anyone, because they are often such dark, emotional and personal feelings. Sometimes someone can be in a lot of emotional pain and their family never finds out until its too late. I think its important to give him what everyone (especially one who is suffering) needs: compassion, patience and understanding.
Mary Immaculate, star of the morning
Chosen before the creation began
Chosen to bring for your bridal adorning
Woe to the serpent and rescue to man.
Sinners, we honor your sinless perfection;
Fallen and weak, for your pity we plead;
Grand us the shield of your sovereign protection,
Measure your aid by the depth of our need.
Bend from your throne at the voice of our crying,
Bend to this earth which your footsteps have trod;
Stretch out your arms to us, living and dying,
Mary Immaculate, Mother of God.

Aiza - I for one appreciate the admission that you rushed to judgement. While a few things were said that may not have been best under the circumstances, I believe that the overwhelming response from all has been out of compassion.
In my view, the best thing that we can do is offer words of encouragement and encourage someone who is suffering mental anguish to seek qualified help, and if one is able and willing, to offer to help find that assistance. Resistance to that is often met, which makes it challenging and sometimes frustrating.
I've said this elsewhere, and it bears repeating: My inbox is always open to anyone who's troubled. I'm not a professional, but I have been around the block a few times, won't judge, and I'm willing to help steer someone to where they might find help, if I'm able. I know that's true of others as well, but I won't speak for them.

No, it wouldn't be, would it? After all the RCC has such a great track record with illnesses such as AIDS, doesn't it.

A rashness to judge is sine qua non of of the ability to adopt religious faith in the availability of education in modern science.

But Chuck, Nazi is scientist and former atheist that choose Catholicism after careful consideration of the available evidence from a host of options. After all, beautiful traditions such as those established by the Catholic Church are much more important when choosing a world view than trivial little concerns such as facts.

And naturally drawn to him, even if no one ever told us about god, we would believe in him as we went through life. And atheists and agnostics believe in god too, we are just angry with him so we use science to disprove him
I kinda agree, but I believe god likes everyone but me, that's why I became agnostic. I understand everyone has trials in life, but seems like I'm always on the poising side of life. I always get made fun of, I always get rejected by a girl, and I'm always the one who makes threads online about wanting to die
Seems like everyone else I know irl Is just fine. And when I told my
Christian Friends how I feel, thy couldn't even imagine. They just said j need I need to pray more and bring a change to my soul.
I tried everything to suck gods divine dick; but he just does not like me
So working on cutting him out of my life
Just gonna try to detach from thus life. I won't care about anything
I'll quit games
I'll quit trying ti get stable and do college
I already quit working out
Im just gonna sleep all day and surf forums and maybe watch southpark online
But won't take anymore stress in life
Try muslim god my mate told me he is much cooler than white god
now thats persepective objectionism or shall say salamm aleikum my fat jamaican ass,anyway good luck my friend hope u get laid in the process.

ZENTOR! Take a chill pill and just relax for a second. I don't know you or what you're going through exactly but I just want to share two things with you:
1) my best friend of 6 years took his own life. He was the most cheerful person I have ever known and was there for me and anyone else that needed company 100% of the time. My point here is that communication with people close to you is crucial, because sometimes, like my friend, you can't tell by the external expressions that something is internally wrong.
2) don't make the mistake my friend made. Life is beautiful. I can't explain why the universe works to construct life, but you're here now experiencing this crazy thing called life. You and I are a unique occurence in this lonely universe. Appreciate every last moment you can because otherwise you're missing out!
Don't be afraid to face your problems. Have a chat to a professional that can turn your life around. Trust me, you really don't want to miss out on experiencing life!
