I'm not sure I buy 2038, seems just a bit too soon. Maybe it's just where I've been living (bible belt, don't think I've ever actually met an atheist in person ever) but things aren't changing much around here. Never know though, as Napoleon said, it only takes a generation.

Never know though, as Napoleon said, it only takes a generation. Over here religion is dropping quickly. 1 in 10 people in the UK go to church. I've probably bumped into more atheists than theists. Perhaps religion would almost be out in the UK and other parts of the world in 2038, the US and the middle east may have some way to go yet though. May take you guys a little longer.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity. Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist. You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
By the time 2038 comes around I will be as old as Pad. and Min., so I will just be telling religious people to fuck off anyway.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
I'll be in my late forties... I'll probably be dead actually.

The zombie period can be greatly protracted thanks to advances in medical science. With pills for sleep, peeing and boners you'll have no trouble making it twice that long. Well, my Grandad still has a full head on coloured hair and my dad shows no sign of hair loss, so I hope I will be okay in the hair department. The only let down of my genetics is not being able to grow a decent beard... shitey stubble is as far as I seem to be able to go.
Anyway, I just assume I will be dead due to a failed liver or some kind of crazy sex accident. Cunt
The economics are there, but I can't help but think Mr. Barber may be a tad optimistic in his prediction.
"How is it that a lame man does not annoy us while a lame mind does? Because a lame man recognizes that we are walking straight, while a lame mind says that it is we who are limping." - Pascal
