Some reasons why Quran is so persuasive (to many people)

Some reasons why Quran is so persuasive (to many people)
One reason I think people are often persuaded by Quran is the emphasis it has constantly that the other side is blind, deaf, and dumb. It makes you question if the reason why you don't believe, is due to your own blindness. Along with that is the severe condemnation of disbelievers, degrading their humanity. The amount of times Quran condemns disbelievers to hell surpasses any other subject including the oneness of God. There is nothing repeated more then it. This makes the person really not want disbelieve in Islam while not knowing for SURE it is wrong. A lot of people won't really find reasons to be sure the religion is not correct. They are emotionally in turmoil now. A long with this, is that they have been persuaded to a degree emotionally. Not intellectually, but emotionally, they find themselves wanting to be on the RIGHT side. The side of belief. They want to be with believers. That want is a powerful feeling. With the Suratal Fatiha read, they also feel the want to be guided by God. The book emphasizes there is no doubt that this the guidance of God. Along with that, is high praise for believers. There is also the repeated stories of Prophets being rejected by their people, and want not to be like those people rejecting miracles. The notion people would like to believe, is that if they were in the position of the Pharaoh that Moses went to, they would've believed seeing the miracles. They then feel being a disbeliever is like being like the followers of Pharaoh. Although there is no rational argument to believe so, the Quran is appealing to their emotion. Constant emotional pressure to believe, and people cave in. Without being certain Islam is wrong, the emotional response often then is to believe. This pressure is through out Quran, over and over again, none stop. It's an essential essence of most Surahs.

Xtianity tried the same shit when it could. Lots of times it works with their target audience.

Some more pressure is that it takes a bit of strength in character to resist the pressure, but the Quran condemns pride and emphasizes on humbling oneself to God's revelations/signs/verses. It emphasizes on being broken by God's words. All this adds to the emotional pressure.

It's like Mohammad understood the psychology of people very well and knew how to manipulate it in his favour. Along with that is the showing of the "chosen" status of Prophets, making it seem like Mohammad is of this high character, and that surely he must be telling the truth, being this special. Which of course is circular reasoning, but when it comes to appealing to emotion, circular reasoning works often.

Nobody named Muhamed invented these hooks Mystic, we've been refining them for tens of thousands of years. The authors of the koran merely inherited them.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

That would imply that they somehow had control over their followers, schisms and splits in the faith show that they clearly don't. They've "mastered" the business of faith about as well as any other.

People do tend to underestimate some of these holy texts' ability to psychology coerce you into becoming a member, but that is one of the ways religion stays alive. It's no coincidence that the two reilgions that have the most number of followers utilize these abilities very well.

Death penalty and life imprisonment for apostasy is pretty persuasive.

Has nothing to do with god, simply the caveman fuckers who believe in him making sure we stay in the Dark Ages in some parts of the world.

The Quran actually teaches opposite to that.

وَدُّوا لَوْ تَكْفُرُونَ كَمَا كَفَرُوا فَتَكُونُونَ سَوَاءً ۖ فَلَا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ حَتَّىٰ يُهَاجِرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَخُذُوهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ وَجَدْتُمُوهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْهُمْ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا {89}

[Shakir 4:89] They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly (their homes) in Allah's way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper.

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِيثَاقٌ أَوْ جَاءُوكُمْ حَصِرَتْ صُدُورُهُمْ أَنْ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ أَوْ يُقَاتِلُوا قَوْمَهُمْ ۚ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَسَلَّطَهُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ فَلَقَاتَلُوكُمْ ۚ فَإِنِ اعْتَزَلُوكُمْ فَلَمْ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ وَأَلْقَوْا إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَمَ فَمَا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ سَبِيلًا {90}

[Shakir 4:90] Except those who reach a people between whom and you there is an alliance, or who come to you, their hearts shrinking from fighting you or fighting their own people; and if Allah had pleased, He would have given them power over you, so that they should have certainly fought you; therefore if they withdraw from you and do not fight you and offer you peace, then Allah has not given you a way against them.

That's some pretty vitriolic shit there Mystic, what precisely do you think the quran is teaching with that verse?
