When have I claimed to believe in what ancient books tell me? You're a bit delusional to assert facts about me which are based solely on faith.
yeah ... me ... I'm the delusional one.

T'was you who made the claim(s) of hell and eternal torment being in the bible.
I said hell wasn't real, I suppose you want me to prove the non-existence of hell then???
I'll take your silence on this matter as I should... no logical rebuttal...

Well of course to make your religion sound more palatable than it actually is. Perhaps you also believe yourself to have "sinned" and wish to escape the preachings of your own belief system? Perhaps you cannot stand the thought of a creator who would happily torture his own creations forever for what he made them and simultaneously claim eternal love for them.
Honestly, it could be any number of reasons and I'm not a mind-reader.
Since you invited me to lead this "train" would you care to discuss them?
Why convince you? I'm not trying to convince you of anything. Only trying to guide you as to how you have been duped and continue to be duped.
Was the rest of the above quote projection?

Biblical references to Hell (whether they actually are in there or not) and the non-existence of Hell are not mutually exclusive. Neither Cinjin and Raphiel claimed they think the place is real.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

And when did I say they thought it was real???
Here's the body of the OP in case you you have trouble remembering that far back:
"Anyone who believes that "hell" is in the Bible has fallen for one of the greatest lies of all times."

Why would you ask if Cinjin wants you to prove your assertion if not because of an implication that they hold the contrary position?

It is obvious to anyone reading this you have a need to sweep others up in your delusion to reassure yourself its true. Needless to say I don't believe in Hell but it is written in your holy book whether you like it or not.
I would suggest that you either a) feel you gain some benefit by believing your religion doesn't support the idea of hell or b) you're an attention seeker.
Of course you'd never admit to b) so tell me, what benefit do you gain from their not being a hell?
Or is that too personal?

I'll prove my statement when you admit that you believe that hell is Biblical or try to convince others that it is...
I do and I have, ask others here.

I have a wonderful feeling that this is going to be the debate equivalent of Freddie vs Jason, the autistic version.
That'll be good for you then, at least you may be able to follow along with this one...
No he want.

Now that's fucking rich!
No it's not, trying to find out why he/she believes the statement made to be true.

You do believe that our current translations were derived from other languages, correct?

I believe no one has the original writings, as you have stated, the NT was written in Greek and what we have of the OT is in Hebrew and Greek, do you believe they were written in some unknown language. Have not seen you attempt to enlighten us yet.
