in rape cases, the main factor in calling it that, is that one party doesn't have a choice (or it's not being respected). there is no freedom of choice in that instance.

True and the only person who have a choice is the person who is doing the raping. Therefore when the person is thinking about raping someone else they have the choice to say no I will not rape that person or yes I will rape that person.

To me rape to be natural mean it is a passive action. So why do some people choose to rape while others don't? There have to be a choice involved to exclude rape as natural? I could be wrong though.

ok, you confused me then, because you said sex should be between 2 people and in rape it clearly isn't.

5 pages ago I warned about how these threads usually end up.

Don't make me be right.

Yes that is what I was saying, sex needs to be a choice between two people not just one person.

If one person chooses to have sex with someone that does not want to it is defined as rape. The question now is if rape was natural and I believe (maybe I am wrong) that rape is not natural because one person made a choice to force the other person to have sex.

If someone makes a choice to do something and it is not a passive action then it is not natural. Otherwise everyone would rape other people naturally.

Natural to me is more like wanting to go to the bathroom and pee or poop.
Eating, sleeping. Rape is a choice that someone makes not a passive natural action.

I'm sorry, but the amount of people on this thread who have their own notions of what constitutes as natural is getting silly. If we were to agree on what natural is we may actually get somewhere.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/natural

This one's interesting: "10. Being in a state regarded as primitive, uncivilized, or unregenerate." Certainly sounds like like a rapist could fit into these descriptions to me.

There's actually a lot more definitions in there than I thought, but take a look over, and tell me how rape is unnatural according to some of those definitions.

I guess it all make sense now. It is natural to rape but I am sure it does not make it ok just because the dictionary say so. I could be wrong again lol maybe it is ok for other people but not me.

I am not saying that people here is claiming that it is ok. BTW

I was waiting until someone made a sarcastic comment suggesting I'm all for rape and it's perfectly fine.

I'm surprised that straw man argument hadn't come up sooner.

Again, it goes back to how we override what was previously a naturally driven action. There are plenty more, besides rape. Rage, for instance, is one of our most basic reactions. Far more people have curbed their rage tendencies than have their rape tendencies, however.

Edit: Or is that the other way round? lol I shouldn't drink and type.

Actually, that's probably wrong.

99% of statistics are made up on the spot, but I'm sure there's a higher amount of domestic violence cases than rape...

But what do I know.

Otherwise you bring up a good point.

*Edit*, just seen your edit...
