If you allow far more articles than stupid atheism and boring as hell philosophy... well why don't I just send lovely Shellerby annoying off-topic articly goodness?
More to the point: what's the point? I'm all for generating revenue for the site, but if the domain's already taken then...?

Well, yeah, I do want to have a fair share of topics in the articles. I mean, atheist post here and there, philosophy post now and then, politics from time to time, just try to mix it up enough that it doesn't become monotonous. Yeah, I'd want to do a post once in a while calling out A+ or the social justice warriors, but I don't really want any one, singular focal point to it. If anything, I would want to write a blog that really encourages people to think outside their comfort zone and see other perspectives.

With luck, they'll grow into properly intelligent thinkers

He has the domain, which is the point.
Off-topic blogs do not do well. I mean, we could have a section for off-topic, but you have to have a direction to make any revenue.

Either that, or you just need badass writers that everyone's interested in reading even if they are currently talking about cow manure.

Then the question is, what topic do I want to focus in on?

Well, it just depends on the blog's overall focus. If you have an atheism blog, clearly you will focus on atheism. If you do anything else, people will notice within five seconds that it is not about atheism and click away. You have less than that amount of time to grab a person's attention, so you have to give them what they were searching for immediately. Such is the internet writing world. Every writer worth a dollar has direction. They always have. Give me even the most asinine writer and I will show you he had direction.

I've managed to convince myself that I'm a decent writer when I actually have something to say, so I might write something every now and then if the ball gets rolling.
So these philosophers were all like, "That Kant apply universally!" And then these mathematicians were all like, "Oh yes it Kan!"

I fancy myself a decent writer(whether or not that is deserved is up for debate), and would enjoy writing for a blog. Right now, however, I don't get a whole lot of time to write, and I have a specific project I want to finish first.

I would love to get the ball rolling on this, but I couldn't even when I was on staff. Nag Tiberius or one of the other admins.
