There's not much to say about this....
When even Fox News calls you a liar...................... http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2012/08/3...z252BejeYA Quote:On the other hand, to anyone paying the slightest bit of attention to facts, Ryan’s speech was an apparent attempt to set the world record for the greatest number of blatant lies and misrepresentations slipped into a single political speech. On this measure, while it was Romney who ran the Olympics, Ryan earned the gold. The irony here is so intense it is damned near painful. RE: Paul Ryan - liar liar pants on fire.

Imagine that. A politician, caught in a fabrication. Why, I'm speechless. Shocked.

So the janitors & (some of) the management got to work another year? BFD. Mothballing an office takes a little while, I imagine a factory takes a bit longer. Indeed. I've been involved with the orderly shutdown of two businesses back in the 1990's, substantially smaller than a single GM factory, and the process can take months, or longer. My experiences, like those of the GM shutdown, were not cases where the doors are one day shuttered and the creditors swoop in to divvy up the spoils. The milestone that really matters is the day that normal operations cease. Yeah, there's a few essential people that continue to work and collect a paycheck between the time operations cease and the doors are forever locked, but that's not much consolation to the overwhelming majority of workers and management who are now unemployed in horrible economic times. I don't necessarily blame for this Bush directly, but blaming Obama is disingenuous and ridiculous. RE: Paul Ryan - liar liar pants on fire.

Quote:If you're talking about Jeff Buckley's rendition of Hallelujah, the problem with the comparison is that's a love song, not a religious song. I happen to love it. I love that song too,but especially like kd lang's rendition. Yes, I've heard Buckley's version and agree it's great. Have also heard Cohen's version, and hate it. Below her version of Halleljulah AND my favourite of kd's; Roy Orbison's 'Crying' (I think her duet with Roy is better than the original.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8WeDWbMNns http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNbnFVBVnz0 |
