RE: New Skyrim DLC

Now it doesn't even look like Dawnguard is coming out for ps3 at all:
Quote:Earlier in the month, we provided an update on Dawnguard's status for PS3.
It's been a few weeks, and we wanted to make sure everyone knows where we're at with Dawnguard. Skyrim is a massive and dynamic game that requires a lot of resources, and things get much more complex when you're talking about sizable content like Dawnguard. We have tried a number of things, but none of them solve the issue enough to make Dawnguard good for everyone. The PS3 is a powerful system, and we're working hard to deliver the content you guys want. Dawnguard is obviously not the only DLC we’ve been working on either, so the issues of adding content get even more complicated. This is not a problem we’re positive we can solve, but we are working together with Sony to try to bring you this content.
We wish we had a more definitive answer right now. We understand the frustration when the same content is not available on all platforms. When we have an update, we will certainly let you know. We deeply appreciate all the time and support you have given us, and we’ll keep doing our best to return that.

I feel for you, being a PS3 owner. Though I game mostly on my laptop.
Bad move by Bethesda - they knew the hardware constraints they were working with all along... Honestly I'm having a hard time figuring out where they are running into trouble. I haven't played all the way through Dawnguard, but I can't see how it should necessarily be more resource intensive.

You could marry and have kids on Fable... although, I would usually kill my wife after a certain amount of time... or have several wives, have them meet and then they leave you. Oh, then you kill them and leave your kid.

I like the idea of it, but seems to me (and my character at least), settling down, building a house, having kids and killing a few skeevers is pretty low down the pecking order of awesome things you can expect the 'Dovahkiin' to do.
For me this should be either ridiculously cheap, or straight up free to play.
The marriage system in Skryim sucks in all honesty, there's no sense of relationship whatsoever. I really don't see the point of it at all if they aren't going to invest a decent amount of effort into it (which they obviously haven't).
Given how pointless the marriage system is in the first place, and how out of place it feels, I really doubt I'll be getting this. I can't see it suiting my character at all considering I'm an Arch Mage, the Listener, leader of the Thieves Guild and saviour of the entirety of existence. Am I the only person who thinks it's utterly ridiculous to then go and build a little house like in the Sims, have a wife who has about 3 lines of conversation with you, and adopt some annoying little children?

Seems like more a game expansion than true DLC. Should be entertaining though.
"In our youth, we lacked the maturity, the decency to create gods better than ourselves so that we might have something to aspire to. Instead we are left with a host of deities who were violent, narcissistic, vengeful bullies who reflected our own values. Our gods could have been anything we could imagine, and all we were capable of manifesting were gods who shared the worst of our natures."-Me
"Atheism leaves a man to sense, to philosophy, to natural piety, to laws, to reputation; all of which may be guides to an outward moral virtue, even if religion vanished; but religious superstition dismounts all these and erects an absolute monarchy in the minds of men." – Francis Bacon

I do think it is a little pointless... they could have put the time and effort into something else. I'll play it... if I don't like what they have done then I'll send Bethesda my spit in the mail.

Yeah this is my major gripe really, that they could of put the effort into getting fucking dawnguard working on the ps3 first. Wtf Bethesda.
