STV might be one way or electing delegates to the electoral according to a party list system which would quickly break down into small parties.
If this happened we would see the big parties , at least in presidential elections break down into:
Republicans:
The Christian party
The Business party
The Libertarian Party
The Patriot hawk Party
Democrats
The Unions Party
The Moderates party
The Black party
The Urban Radicals Party
The Public workers party
Plus:
Greens
Regional parties
Hispanics party
Far Right party
Socialist pary

As a Libertarian, I disagree with your inclusion of the Libertarian Party in the "Republicans" list. Libertarians have hardly anything in common with Republicans at this point; our economic policies used to be similar, but now the Republicans are more about corporatism than free market economics. Most democrats still seem to share our beliefs in social rights, so I'd wager the party is closer to them.

Ok Tiberius. If you had read through you would know that I am aligned with the Democrat Freedom caucus so I have much in common with Libertarians. However most Libertarians are found on the fringe of the republican party -like it or not.
Also like it or not Ron Paul is the most prominent Libertarian ( and I really don't want to go into ultra partizan intralibertarian discussions about whether he is or isn't) and obviously he's a Republican. I don;t agree with all of what he beleives but he shares with Dennis Kucinich an honesty about his work, he is a conviction politician (ie the complete opposite to Romney or Obama).
Concerning Corporatism both parties are utterly wedded to corporate interests, just different corporations.
Lastly a Libertarian party would include members of the current Libertarian party and those democrats and republicans that had sympathy with it.
I would rule myself out since I believe in a UK style Socialized medicine system, free to everyone at the point of delivery. I think we have the worst cost to benefit ratio medicine in the world. I am also a passionate defender of Animal rights ,something that Libertarians (with some exceptions) dismiss due to their concepts of ownership.

I never said you should be a Libertarian. I said you can't put them under the banner of "Republican". Libertarians are not mainly found in the Republican party...they are found in the Libertarian party.
Yes, Ron Paul is the most well known Libertarian, but his supporters are not voting Republican (and Ron Paul has refused to endorse Romney). As far as I can tell from discussions with them, they are either voting for GaryJohnson or writing in Ron Paul.

Ron paul is from which party?
Anyway
Irrelevant - detach the libertarian from the above list and put it underneath .Inside outside it really doesn;t matter. There would be a massively increased vote for a libertarian party under a party list system

Ron Paul first ran for president whilst a member of the Libertarian Party. Despite being a member of the Republicans now, his Libertarian views haven't changed. He's widely recognized as an "unusual" member of the party, since he regularly votes against the party status quo, and the Republican party recently (controversially) passed an amendment to their primary delegate rules which denied Ron Paul any delegates, despite the fact that he won a large number of them.
Regardless of all this, Ron Paul is a man. Libertarianism is an entire political movement. You can't equate the two. I don't need to change where you put Libertarianism; my objection has been stated and argued.
