That isn't even necessarily true. A violent, radical minority can cause a lot of trouble.

I think they need a whole lot more people than that to match the mass demonstrations that we've been seeing recently across the Middle-East and in the other muslim countries. .

Part of the problem is that 100 well armed psychos can easily control and/or intimidate 10,000 unarmed people; I mean, hell, less than a dozen guys armed with box knives were able to take over four airplanes here in the US and we only fought back once (and I'm pretty sure that only happened because they knew what was going to happen). This is especially true in a nation without the infrastructure to have a good law enforcement system in place.
