Page Selection

I have found it a little annoying that once the a thread reaches 6 or more pages in length it shows the first 4 pages then the last.

Example 1: (1 2 3 4....8)

Is it possible to change it to the following as I would find it more useful as I usually check the second last page to make sure I have not missed anything. I have terrible memory and bad habit of always checking stuff to make sure.

Example 2: (1....5 6 7 8)
Example 3: (1 2....6 7 8)
Example 4: (1 2 3....7 8)

I really don't know if this would be better or not.

I would probably prefer Example 3.
What do you guys and gals think.

I do as well. However I usually use the todays posts search and new post link to pick up where I left off and don't usually use the page links.

I'd like one of those picture menus like they have at the cash register at McDonald's.


(I just leave all the tabs open. If I see something is new, I select that tab and hit reload.
