I think it's a neat idea, but ultimately won't be added. Too many username colors will give rise to confusion about user groups (such as moderators or donators).

If it did get implemented, I'd either change my username color in accordance to the set I'm sporting, or I'd leave it the way it is (because I'm so non-conformist).

I've seen it. It merits more discussion. I don't want a system that allows someone to pretend to be a staff member.

You could reserve certain colors for staff and donaters, and let everyone pick from what's left.

Yeah but that's precisely what I was saying. Obviously you reserve colours for the staff members.

You also have the ability to bolden the usernames too right? Staff get bolded usernames to point them out further. Or underlined usernames, or italics, whatever. It shouldn't be hard to make it obvious.

Really it wouldn't be that confusing. I've seen it work on other forums.
