Hey, Assbutt! - A discussion about the paranormal side of things
October 9, 2012 at 7:57 pm
I am very aware I'm surrounded by skeptics. I identify with the label.
However, my curiousity gets the best of me.
Have any of you experienced anything that fits in with the paranormal/supernatural subtype? Feel free to type out your experience and express your thoughts on the matter. Try not to be an ass. If you find this all complete BS then go elsewhere. I like my discussions.
My experience:
I frequently saw ghosts and what I once believed to angels and demons as a teenager. Things flying across the room and so on. And no, the window was not open.
My thoughts:
Paranoia, overactive imagination. I don't have enough to keep my mind occupied so I create beings to do it for me. New Agey folk would call it manifesting. I call it using my intelligence/imagination for stupid purposes. That being said, I'm not fully convinced that we don't have some kind of soul. I like my energy theories.

Well noted despite my wishes otherwise.

Sure have. Uncomfortable, inexplicable by me, and ultimately with no corroboration of any kind from any vector. I'd say that I've had plenty of experiences that fit the subtype..lol.

I've seen ghosts twice, heard the universe speak to me and seen some sort of terror up in the top corner of a room (doing the exorcist thing where it's like human spider)(In the light of day it turned out to be an exercise machine =P). However, nothing has happened when a) I'm sober, b) I'm fully awake, c) I've had sleep in preceding 24 hours.
Nemo me impune lacessit.

The only thing I can honestly say is the ability to second guess what my partner (of 7 years) wants information about...... e.g. "Where is that invoice hunny?"

So I should feel free to express my thoughts but not allowed to think its bullshit?
How can you have a good discussion if there's nobody allowed to disagree?

I have thought I have seen ghosts and such before, but then I realised I was between that funny stage of being awake and dreaming.

This one time, I saw this big flying object in the sky (kinda looked like the millennium falcon), and it landed in the field in front of me.
This big hairy thing came out from it and started speaking to me... I didn't really understand what it was saying. It was kinda like "eeurrhhhgh rawhghhh uurhghh rehghh aarhghh uuhgh".
Damn that was a good night.
