On Santa Claus

RE: On Santa Claus
Santa is omnipresent also. Every Xmas I see him everywhere I go. It is really weird how he can be everywhere at once.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.
-- Superintendent Chalmers

Science is like a blabbermouth who ruins a movie by telling you how it ends. There are some things we don't want to know. Important things.
-- Ned Flanders

Once something's been approved by the government, it's no longer immoral.

RE: On Santa Claus
When I was a kid (probably 5 or so) my brother (he's 12 years older than me) told me that he saw Santa's sleigh going by. We went out on the balcony of our apartment and while I was looking the opposite direction he said, "Look! There it is!" As I turned toward where he was pointing, I clearly remember seeing a sleigh hit the corner of the apartment building... Young minds are impressionable... I can still vividly recall that memory in detail. We see what we want to see.

P.S. Is there a Santa? I've seen my kids' faces on Christmas morning... there most definitely is a Santa.

Well of course Santa is in Lappland, After all the shrinkage of the arctic sea ice?? Where else would he be?

I have often thought that the perpetuation of the "Santa myth" actually DID have some foundation in fact. {A kindly villager who delighted in making toys for the children}
