Failed Biblical Prophecies
RE: Failed Biblical Prophecies
You have limited the scriptures through deceit, you have fallen short, you did not read what I asked did you.
The warning
Deut. 30:11-20
Failure to complete the conquest and God's punishment.
Judges 1:27-36
Judges 2:1-5
Judges 2:11-15

You do not really care what scriptures say, all you want to do is bring controversy to satisfy your ignorance of scripture.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I'm pretty sure I already addressed this, but I'll reexamine it.

Key points:
  • obey god
  • woship god
  • if you do these you will be blessed
  • if you worship other gods you will be cursed

The Israelites didn't drive out (physically) the people of certain lands, but managed to enslave them after becoming stronger.

An angel is disappointed that the people made a covenant with someone in the lands given to them, and says that he will not (physically) remove the people so that their false gods might erode the faith of the Israelites and doom them.

The Israelites worshipped false gods, and suffered military defeat as a result.

There are few things that should be noted. First, the coveneant in question is most likely the treaty that the Gibeonites tricked the Israelites into agreeing to in the book of Joshua. It should also be noted that the woshiping of false gods occured after Judah's death.

However, this refers to military failure altogether, not simply the failure of driving out the native people. It should be noted that there is a big difference in this case. God promised to disposses the enemy of their lands, but not to drive them out (physically). Drive out has been taken to mean 'disposses' in this context, as the original Hebrew can attest. However, it sometimes refers to a physical driving out as well. How can we know which is which? Let's look at the second quote again:

(bolding added)
Here, it is made very clear that the Israelites lived among the native people, often putting them into slavery. However, look at this passage:

This is the strange thing: this one passage does not have the "but they enslaved them" disclaimer. Why? Because they didn't; they somehow failed to conquer the plains for no logical reason.

Now, I know that the passage

will be used against me, but I would like to point out a few flaws. It says that the Israelites were prevented from coming into the plain [that Judah couldn't conquer] but it says that the Amorites were determined to hold out in Mount Heres, Aijalon and Shaalbim, which could be taken to mean that they still lived alongside the Israelites. Why couldn't Judah get into the plain? "Maybe he could", one might say, "after he enslaved the Amorites he might have been able to go into the plain". That might be true, but here is the weird thing: it says the Amorites were enslaved "when the power of the tribes of Joseph increased". Does this mean that their god given power was inadequete before? They could not first so much as disposses the plains until now, if we assume that is what happened, and it looks like god wasn't responsible.

So you are outright accusing me of being a liar?

The thing is, I don't recall you ever asking me to read Deuteronomy.

So I'm ignorant now? Which is it; am I a liar or do I make honest mistakes?
(Also, your accusations are unwarrented)

Being a good 'study' of the bible you will immediately recognize that your Deuteronomy and Judges are OT, right?

This means that your interpretation of the NT, particularly Matthew 5:17, means that the commandments of your god in the OT still stand.

Good to know. Your boy, Drich, was just making the distinction between Jew God and Christian God.

Do you ascibe to the same distinction?

This should be good.

Personally, I always like Marcion's distinction.

Yeah, but the really cool thing is that Drich and GC are now pouring through the Soprano's cast list wondering who the fuck Marcion is.

Modern Tyre - Look....it has a mosque and everything!

Looks like "god" ( the so-called Soveriengn LORD ) fucked up.

Look at your picture a little more closly minnie. To me it seems like God's word is being proved here. For in the Foreground we see the ruins of the 'city' in which Ezekial spoke. It remains desolate.

========

Sorry - but obviously YOU have never been to TYRE - which is the FOURTH largest city in Lebanon and has over 115,000 people living in it
While the city does have a number of ancient ROMAN ruins - including a Hippodrome - it is a modern city in the Middle East - especially in Lebanon

IT is obvious that the the problem is - the christ of the bible did not fullfill the prophecies of the Messiah and could not be the messiah for basic reasons - one of which was that he was to be a human of the lineage of David - the christ has no human biological father. At the time - ONLY the father was included in lineage because they believed that the MALE provided the seed - the whole basis for the baby - and the woman was merely the "dirt" the seed was planted in to grow. EVEN then they knew that the baby had its own blood that did not mix with the mother.

And that is just one of the places where the story of the christ simply cannot be true. THe jews were not stupid. One of the prophecies was that the messiah was to REBUILD the temple of Jerusalem - but it had not yet been destroyed during the supposed life of the christ - so the christ would have been considered a HERETIC by the jews - and would NOT have been allowed to speak in temples - but especially NOT in the one in Jerusalem.

Remember - to the Jews - the Temple of Jerusalem was the VATICAN of the christian world - and they would not have allowed a heretic to go there - much less preach there. THe story of the money changers would have ended with the death due to stoning of the christ - if it had happened.

You have to understand how a mind like Drippy's "works," Thom. He thinks that because people are not living in the same buildings that his "god's" prophecy is true.

The fuckheads always do that. When a prophecy is an obvious failure they try to redefine it in terms which did not ever occur to their "god." That would make "god" something of a schmuck except "god" doesn't exist and the only schmuck is Drippy.

I read them. Your god is a twisted fuck.

meh ... fairy tales are dumb, and quite frankly, The Brother's Grimm reads better and Aesop's Fables teaches far better morals and ethics ... that is, as long as I'm using fairy tales for both entertainment and life lessons. Undecided
